Ford will not unlock housing by undermining tenants' security of tenure. This Bill is a new low that signals existential threats to every renter in Ontario. We need to go all out to stop it www.kristynwongtam.ca/stop-bill-60 #ONpoli #TorCen #Bill60

Fans are price-gouged because Ford broke the ticket resale market in 2019. He can act to fix it or keep sitting on his hands. Email Ford to demand action NOW: kristynwongtam.ca/fans-first #OnPoli

Today marks 10 years since the triple femicide of Nathalie Warmerdam, Anastasia Kuzyk, and Carol Culleton in Renfrew County in 2015. The memories of Nathalie, Anastasia, and Carol demand action: not just acknowledgment. www.kristynwongtam.ca/tenth-years-...

AIDS changed the world, but ACT changed Toronto. The AIDS Committee of Toronto’s closure is a wake-up call for governments to invest in stabilizing public health and HIV/AIDS prevention. I am so grateful to everyone at ACT who gave so much and made our communities healthier over the last 42 years.

If Ford doesn't step up to save our colleges, this recessionary trade war is going to hurt Ontarians even more than it already is. I joined the picket line in solidarity with @opseusefpo.bsky.social college sector workers who are on strike for the future of public post-secondary education!

I met with Neighbourhood Legal Services to discuss the challenges and trends they're seeing in Toronto Centre. Neighbourhood Legal Services is our community's legal clinic, supporting some of the most vulnerable residents who need access to justice, including many facing eviction.

Happy Labour Day! Today we celebrate all of Ontario’s workers and progress that unions have won. During a trade war, we need the government to work with unions to protect workers and our economy.

Today is Overdose Awareness Day. Hannah Robinson's powerful answer at this week's press conference with @robinlennoxmd.bsky.social & @alexagilmour.bsky.social calling for the government to make an emergency task force to save lives is still echoing in our heads. The overdose death crisis is complex.

We are incensed that the Secretary of Cabinet is using policy to force through what couldn’t be wrested from us during free and fair collective bargaining. We will continue to fight for flexibility for members who want it.

Remote work works, and we’re going to continue our fight for it
AMAPCEO is going to continue to fight for flexibility for members who want it and stop the Secretary from dragging Ontario's hardworking public service back to the Stone Age.

Heart breaking news. My thoughts are with the family and community grieving after another young person is taken too soon because of gun violence. Our communities are tired of waiting for action from our governments to end gun violence.

Canada’s Gaza Special Measures Visa Program is a lie. Gazan Canadians’ families are trapped. They face genocide, starvation & war. But Canada is asking them to meet impossible standards like travelling to Egypt for biometric tests.

Many Asian communities across Toronto have unique challenges accessing mental health. Having cultural safety and being able to speak your first language is crucial to delivering effective mental health care. I want to share the re-aim.ca campaign. UHN should reverse this cut.

Today, on Emancipation Day, we mark 191 years since slavery was formally made illegal.

Ontario has significant work ahead to dismantle the systemic barriers that Black Ontarians face in housing, education, health care, and employment.

Happy Emancipation Day! Onwards in the work of winning freedom!

Proud to stand with students, educators, parents, and community leaders at Queen’s Park to support the campaign against Bill 33.

Bill 33 will not make Ontario's schools safer. Toronto ended policing in schools because the SRO program unfairly targetted Black, Indigenous, & racialized students.
