Years ago, City Council & Mayor Tory passed rules that set Uber up as a quasi monopoly in Toronto. Council and Mayor Chow have so far failed to address these uncompetitive rules and to bring fairness to drivers.

Victor replaced his immaculately-kept 2017 because the City’s rules required it. 3 days before the deadline Council voted to extend taxis to >10yrs (grossly ill-advised). We won’t support lowering the minimum standard…now chaos. 🤦‍♀️

Also Uber: “Uber Canada is run by Canadians for Canadians,”

Easy to lose this in the noise of the day, but the prime minister of Canada just said the US president, leader of the global hegemon, wants to soften us up economically so he can annex us.

That is one of the most remarkable statements, and realities, in our history.

The only thing that will make getting around Toronto better is fewer cars and more people taking public transit, cycling or walking. There is no other way.

What an absolutely disgusting company. Their drivers joining our fleet told me about $16 from Avenue & Lawrence to Pearson. Even more sickening as Canadian Uber employees defend this abuser while most of the money is funneled out of this country. Treason. #TOpoli www.thestar.com/business/b-c...
