It was a real pleasure working on this project led by @kristinawk.bsky.social This co-designed framework provides a clear and practical structure for thinking about quality of perioperative care.
Nearly 10m people have surgery in the UK yearly & need good perioperative care. Our rapid evidence review & participatory exercise highlighted 10 key areas. We worked with patients, carers, clinicians & managers to develop a quality framework.

It's now 20 years since we came up with the candidacy framework for explaining access to healthcare. Now, our scoping review shows how candidacy has been used in research on access to general practice. It seems to be useful and actionable - good news! journals.sagepub.com/doi/epub/10....?
