A year ago today my (in Hmong) pog AKA paternal grandma died. She had always been the best female role model in my life. Steadfast and deliberate, kind and stern, and fair but petty as hell. Thank you pog for teaching me how to be the best version of myself. #gonebutnotforgotten

Buddha said that life is suffering. I have to believe in suffering we are connected to our humanity, to each other. If all the sadness in my heart fall like tears on my face, it would flow steadily until it reconnected with the ocean, unending and ever flowing. I couldn’t have it any other way.
