I’ve begun painting more of the beautiful things I witness in nature that fill me with awe. My newest piece, Petalune is one of those fleeting moments just before a butterfly lands softly to drink in a flower and how all the particles of light all around seem energized to bring these two together.

I really think there should be a separate driving lane for the people who seem to be running solely on caffeine and rage.

The blue lotus, holds symbolic significance in many cultures throughout history. While painting this, the meditative process took me, inward, reflecting on the infinite. Stepping back to see the result, I felt like a butterfly, resting for a brief exchange. 20x20” original acrylic painting.
