The Houston Zoo has Holiday Lights right now. If you like theatre, the Alley’s great production of Christmas Carol is underway. For cheaper fun, the restaurants and bars on Main are great. There’s usually stuff happening down at Discovery Green this time of year as well.

The double-thinking of a historian.

Thinking about the past and the present at the same time.

We live at a time when the future is deeply tangled in that as well.
