you cannot put a blanket over the fear and hatred and misunderstanding by calling it a different thing. we tried. it didn't work. which is why I think fighting back when people suggest that "psychotic" means evil, cruel, horrible, is necessary. even if it feels kinda dumb and unimportant sometimes

I think it's really interesting that ppl have been calling art school and art degrees useless and stupid 'cause "anyone can do art", yet now all of a sudden people absolutely have to resort to gen AI cause "they didn't go to art school".
people using genAI because they "didn't go to art school, it's too late to learn" : I didn't go to art school, I went back to drawing at 27 and now, 7 years later, drawing is my job cause I worked my ass off learning & practising

the key is that nobody, not your favorite artist, not the old masters, not the people who are considered the most successful, EVER feels like they've 100% nailed it and have nowhere left to go. we ALL have to go in seeking joy and creative expression, because perfection is unachievable haha
