Year 4 had a great trip to the Gurdwara last week and learned a lot about the Sikh place of worship and their holy text. A meaningful and memorable cultural experience for all!

Year 5 showcased their persuasive writing last week with confident, well‑crafted speeches. Using techniques like flattery, clear arguments, and strong factual justification, they delivered their ideas with impressive clarity and conviction.

English lessons are brought to life through books, thanks to the Friends of KPA, our children can now enjoy the full stories. Their generous support means every pupil enjoy the real book during lessons & continue reading it afterwards. Thank you for enriching our classrooms.

Year 5 continued learning about African art, exploring the Benin Kingdom and Benin Bronzes to inspire their relief designs. They used insect images to plan their work - take a look!

In Science, Year 2 began practical work on electricity, with children making their own circuits and drawing circuit diagrams - great work Year 2!

In Nursery's @pkckst.bsky.social lesson the children were so excited to become palaeontologists for the day and dig for fossils. They used a range of tools to dig out their dinosaur and then had to match it to the correct fossils on a picture card!

This week, Year 2 visited London Central Mosque. They learned about the five pillars of Islam and had a wonderful time exploring the exhibition to support their RE learning.

In Art, Year 5 began their topic based on African Art and sketched African headdresses which were used during Chiwara ceremonies in Mali. Take a look at this brilliant example!

Nursery had a busy week! They started their new topic on 'Dinosaurs' and read their book 'Dinosaur Roar'. They also learnt all about the number 3 and how they could make it from different numbers. Great work Nursery!

In our PKC lesson Nursery learnt all about explorer Ernest Shackleton. They looked at the journey he made to the South Pole, how the climate is different to where they live, the different animals  in cold climates and they enjoyed freezing water to make ice for the polar bears.

Thank you to everyone involved in hosting the FKPA Festival of Light Disco two Fridays ago. The children really enjoyed themselves and it definitely brought some fun and light into what's now a darker time of year! You helped us raise £497 - amazing!

Last week,  Boyce Class shared their learning with us from across the curriculum; each subject area was explained and then put to music. There were so many songs! Thank you to all of the parents who came to support and give the children the opportunity to speak to a big audience.

Nursery are really enjoying our new topic ' Journeys'. We have turned our home corner into a train station and the children imagined they were travelling to different destinations around London.

Last week, Blanca took part in a Blue Peter book review filming at the Science Museum, featuring The Cosmic Diary of a Space Explorer by Tim Peake. She had the opportunity to meet Tim Peake and host Abby. We're grateful to have received 15 copies of the book for our school. Well done, Blanca!

Before the half term, the hall was filled with excitement as children and adults enjoyed a wonderful variety of delicious foods from around the world. Thank you to everyone who contributed and helped out. The food, the atmosphere, and the national dress made it a fantastic event!

The FKPA International Food Festival  saw everyone celebrating their cultures throughout the day and wearing clothing that represents them to share with each other. Everyone looked fantastic!

Last week O'Keeffe Class presented their current history learning 'From the Stone Age to the Iron Age'. The props and costumes were impressive alongside their knowledge and ability to understand the different time periods along the way. Well done O'Keeffe Class!

In RE, Year 6 have been investigating the themes of love, forgiveness, reconciliation and redemption. Last week they focused on redemption and this week they will embark on a class debate around the question of whether we need to forget in order to forgive.
