Hi, I'm Katy an Illustrator from the UK.

I love to paint anything fantasy - especially dragons and have worked on a number of ttrpg books, boardgames and book covers.

Looking down over the side of a ship you see a pirate cat climbing up in the anchor rope, it's fur is ginger tabby and she has a mischievous grin on her face. Trouble is coming. A man dwarfed by a huge tree stands on an outcropping of roots in a large jungle gorge. Light streams down illuminating the mist and the foliage all around. The Nightmare in Ivory, the ancient white dragon Guiladon chomps down on the tiny hut of Caleb Widogast as the Mighty Nein try to make their escape from her icy lair. As they scream inside hoping the magic will protect them long enough for them to escape. From Critical Role. The demoness Aysel reaching down or perhaps dropping a small Sulaai boy into the trees, her wings outstretched as she flies. From a scene in the book Sul: From Gold to Iron to Rust. Co-authored and Illustrated by Katy Grierson and Jacqui Davis.

I scanned the sketch, tinted it to sepia tones in photoshop, printed it out on watercolor paper at a slightly larger size (12x16), and got the initial washes of color down. I did color tests in photoshop so I knew how to approach the tones. This is about an hour's worth of painting so far, I think?

There's some circular celtic knotwork designs on the borders. The overall colors are warm golds and browns.

Sinda expressions and character illustrations from a dnd campaign, A Monk/Gloomstalker lion like tabaxi called Sinda, uses her strength and agility to hold onto a tree, ready to pounce on her enemries. She wears red and gold but still manages to blend in with the forest. A mother crocodillian dragon guards her eggs that glow at her chest with bright sunlight streaming down.
