Novocaine (2025) Review:

The car chase scenes sucked such ass, but Quaid is super charismatic and the premise was interesting. This is one of those movies that I foresee myself rewatching on Netflix in a few years. It might become some people's comfort movie. The plot is weak, but... (1/2)

Novocaine (2025) Review:
⭐⭐⭐.5

Still can't believe I'm a delegate for the 2025 DSA Convention ...
I got the score right. The stunts were amazing. I just didn't expect to love the antagonist so much nor that I'd get such strong Indiana Jones vibes from the last act.
Prediction for MI: Final Reckoning: 8/10
I do think MI probably peaked with either Fallout or the first movie, hard to say, but this looks damn good. Tom Cruise is a fuckin movie star and I'll be damned if he asks me to trust him, one last time, and I don't. McQuarrie has had a good record on MI.

Just watched The Day of the Jackal (1973)

It was absolutely fantastic film, but also the definition of a slow burn, which can turn some people off. Me, though, I loved it. It's also a great film for people who like the "competency porn" genre, where people very good at what they do do that.

We know this is (barely) coded eugenics for a simple reason: he's not arguing for vaccine mandates. Getting vaccinated is a bare minimum for an individual's health maintanence duty to the larger community. It matters way more than your weight or your exercise routine.
