trying not to cry because allll of that anxiety leading up to the election + the few days after while waiting on election results, hinging my hope that IF we got a dem sweep, we could use that momentum in Congress. only to get that dem sweep and see crusty old dems are about to cave for NOTHING??

ahhh I knew GRMLN was Japanese but I didn't realize he's FROM Kyoto!!! I'm still speechless though, like, of all the street corners in Kyoto to take a photo of and then use as an album cover, for it to be this one...! ugh agh hnngg sobbing
Oh my gosh. My heart just jumped in my throat because the new GRMLN single came on and I immediately recognized the cover to it as viewing Doshisha kitty-corner from the konbini by the Imadegawa station exit

one of my favorite bgs to date is this single panel of the back hallway of the piano bar. all the steps of the staircase are slightly off-kilter, and it feels SO much better than if they were all straight lines in perfect perspective

preliminary background inks are done. time to make the inks look Worse. :)
(and I do mean worse in the sense that I'm gonna go in and purposefully make the lines stray EVEN MORE off perspective. I find the eye gets fatigued looking at lines that are too immaculate!!)
