The House recently passed legislation to require people to prove they are U.S. citizens when they register to vote. Native American groups, however, argue the proposal, if signed into law, would make it difficult for tribal members.

Homelessness is growing throughout Nevada, but especially in Clark County. Now, plans are being made for a 20-acre site on Charleston and Jones boulevards to create the project, called Campus for Hope.

A significant number of students in Nevada are struggling with math. But a teachers’ organization says it might not just be about students having trouble with learning math – it might also have to do with how they’re being taught math skills. knpr.org/2025-04-15/...

A recent study looked at undergraduate and graduate college math programs that prepare elementary school teachers and how much instructional time is devoted to teaching basic concepts and how to teach math. Only 1 in 8 programs met certain recommended minimums.

Interior Secretary Doug Burgum last week ordered all national parks to “remain open and accessible.” The directive comes after about 1,000 NPS employees were fired.
