The Seahawks have returned to Seattle after winning the Super Bowl.

The victory parade will start at 10 a.m. Wednesday near Lumen Field and head up 4th Avenue to Cedar Street, near the Space Needle.

Seattle Police are expecting from 750,000 to 1 million people.

The "Dark Side" defense carried Sam Darnold and the Seattle Seahawks to a Lombardi Trophy. Devon Witherspoon, Derick Hall, Byron Murphy and the rest of Mike Macdonald's ferocious unit pummeled Drake Maye, and the Seahawks won the franchise's second Super Bowl.

At Tuesday's meeting, the Tacoma City Council voted unanimously to make Patti Jackson the permanent TPD chief.

Jackson was appointed interim police chief last March after former chief Avery Moore resigned in the wake of controversies.

Jackson will be sworn in Feb 9. She'll earn $326,000 a year.

The team recently reported the fastest spinning asteroid of its size to date. The finding was a surprise to the astronomers, who spotted it using test images from a telescope at the new Vera C. Rubin Observatory in Chile.
