Been busy making wool pellets. We purchase waste wool - maybe belly & neck wool that wouldn't be spun into yarn - & then shred it & compress it into pellets that are used in your garden to replace chemical fertilizers. You can see how many pellets are created from one bin of shredded wool!... 1/3

It's official - fall has arrived! Whether or not you think that "socks and 'stocks" are the ideal way to show off your handknit socks, this time of year definitely gets me thinking about my wooly sock wardrobe! And, just in time, we've brought in some lovely sock wool blended with 20% nylon..1/2
Looking for a perfect trim to help stop your knitting from curling? I can see the "knit-as-you-go-I-cord" used as a simple trim for the front of a cardigan if you weren’t planning to add buttons. Or maybe to trim the side edges of a split hem. 1/2

German short rows are an easy technique to add shaping to your knitwear. It's the way I knit my heels and toes in my "Super Simple Socks" pattern! If you haven't ever used the German short row technique, I hope you find this video tutorial helpful.

Sweater weather is coming! Good thing I just restocked this 100% Canadian 2-ply French merino wool, spun on an antique spinning mule built in 1910. Soft & airy, it resembles a hand-spun wool. 112 g and 198 m per skein. Knit using 4 - 5 mm needles.
