First day in @jjbioacoustique.bsky.social , Vernon, France: My talk about "Song individuality and geographic variation in Yellowhammers" successfully done!🎶

Tune in keep updated for the work of @ilamora.bsky.social @cangonin.bsky.social from our @bioacousticai.sigmoid.social.ap.brid.gy team✨️

Thanks a lot for sharing this!

Have a read of my blog post and give bacpipe a try. I'd love to get feedback and if people want to contribute to this project to make it worthwhile for more people in the field, even better!
Embed ALL the sounds

New tool from @vskode.bsky.social to compare methods that classify & cluster animal sounds w/ embeddings: vectors extracted from neural network models

Nice example w/ AnuranSet from @juancanyas.bsky.social in post 👇

Me in a nutshell 🐣🎙️
I’m an Italian biologist in Czechia, spying on animals with microphones (aka #PassiveAcousticMonitoring).
Currently working with @kming25.bsky.social on Yellowhammers (the “a little bit of bread and no cheese” bird 🐤🎶).
Basically: Birds, weird sounds, and way too much data.
