At a recent conference, I had the pleasure of listening to Dr Hani Naiem K. Ibrahim about his diabetology practice and his project of determining the prevalence of PAD in the Egyptian population.

Afterwards, in the roundtable with a head of cardiology, he made a strikingly good point.

Today is Giving Tuesday—a day to reflect on the power of generosity and its ability to transform lives.

For me, this day holds special significance. As the parent of a beautiful girl with OCNDS (Okur-Chung Neurodevelopmental Syndrome), a rare condition caused by a mutation in the CSNK2A1 gene.

This just broke me. Not just because I'm a father and can relate to the story, but the emotion is so well build and while I knew how it should end, that crosswalk moment is so perfectly edited.

Parenting special needs is a roller coster. I was so happy and proud of my doughter after yesterdays parent conference at the kindergarten where all we got was praise for our little hero. 🤩

Today, I am already dreading the specialist appointment we have tomorrow. 😵‍💫
