TIL i have a lot more energy when I eat food with good fats like eggs and whole milk, so I boiled half a dozen eggs and stuffed them in a jar. Gonna eat one or two with dinner for a week and see if it helps with the energy. 🤞

My Dr had me completely stop one med that we thought was causing the chronic fatigue, but the fatigue is still there. 😭

Send help, I just dropped 30$ on a new set of keyboard keycaps only because I didnt like the texture of the stock ones. I use a lot of hand moisturizer during the winter and the smooth finish on the stock keycaps ended up greasy and gross to touch. So I got some bumpy PBT caps. :D

Saturday means Geoff the Hamster is getting a clean fresh cage! He got some steppies in his ball while I cleaned it, then raided his food bowl as usual. I'm transitioning him to new food since I dont trust the amazon stuff. He seems to like it so far!

It's been frisky around 0C and we've had snow on the ground for a week, but it's nice and sunny today so I braved the cold for a healthy walk by the lake... tho i'll need the tuque next time, the breeze coming over the lake froze my ears! 🍁

Second weekend in a row I write something on my calendar and end up not doing it. Last week was going to a small con/market, and this week was just playing a game with an old friend. Couldn't bring myself to do either. Is it social phobia? Executive dysfunction? Or just plain laziness? IDK 😭

AAAAAAAA Finally finished it! Nevermore was the first Legendary I wanted when I started playing Guild Wars 2 two years ago, but was too scared of doing Fractals after FFXIV PF burnout. This is HUGE for me! I'm so happy, it's perfect for my Scourge Healer. :3

The suction cups ended up being a TerriBad Idea, (which, as a Canadian, i should have known rubber hardens in sub-zero conditions), so the thermometer went back on the workbench for a proper installation.

Went shopping at Home Depot today, and got a "vintage" Edison-style warm light bulb and a "vintage" analog mercury-style outdoor thermometer. When tech gets enshitified, just look to the past for better solutions. Plus there is something homely and cozy about warm lights and analog sensors. 🥰

Managed to get out of the house and go to Home Depot to grab items for projects that should make my home a bit more cozy. Then rested my legs and recharged at Tim Hortons with some Cappuccino, BLT and apple fritter. I can feel the holiday vibes already!

I grated a ripe tomato and turned it into home made pasta sauce! First time doing this, and it turned out great. Might be a cheaper way to cook a one-person pasta dinner than buying 5$ pots of pre-made pasta sauce.

"Upgraded" my motherboard from a cheap B650 with bad VRM to a high-end B850 with 14-2-2. It didnt fix the GW2 stutters but my PC runs way cooler! Plus the Gen5 PCI gives me future upgrade paths. Best part, it booted on the first try!

Wow, our power JUST came back, 14h later. Thankfully it happened overnight so I slept through most of it but Cheese Louise you'd think one of the biggest Canadian city would have a sturdy power grid able to sustain a snowstorm...

Oof, it's like Microsoft read my last post. W11 re-enabled politics crap widgets on my desktop, for the 2nd time in a week... so I rage downloaded Linux Mint and booted it Live to check it out. It still cant do simple things like change scroll speed. So I have resigned myself. I'll be over there. 😭

Today I learned about Executive Dysfunction, in a "funny" youtube short of all places, so I read up on it and now my whole life just makes so much sense. Like every block just fell into place. Gonna have to bring this up to my psychiatrist next time i see her... might change my life if treated.

Wow changing time really messed me up this year. I'm so jet-lagged my body forgot when is meal times. I guess it IS the first time change i experience since maintaining a normal 24h sleep schedule, eh?

Me and my Dr are trying to lower that med that's causing my fatigue, and the past couple days have been rough but today i'm springing back and feeling better than ever. I even cooked pasta! Just some store-bought sauce with added frozen mirepoix and herbs. It was delicious. 😋
