the problem really is overproduction based on exploitation. there is no reason we couldn’t be producing and commercializing to our heart’s content while placing people over profits. its not like one or the other. but we base progress on how much better the core is than the periphery

i think it’s so cool to see the historic and ongoing solidarity from some latin american countries to the Palestinian people and their struggle for liberation. I grew up thinking Palestine was a real state in the same sense that Isr*el is, purely bc it was as embedded in the zeitgeist

Cuba’s numbers were impressive back in the 80s right after the revolution, and they’re impressive now, but even “failed rogue states” like Venezuela and Nicaragua have improved so much in the 21st century
