I still have a difficult time being kind and forgiving towards myself. Which is ironic how much I’ve been preaching it to people.

Yesterday I realized something that has completely changed my outlook. It is true, you do need to get to the bottom of the barrel in order to get better.
On October 7th I decided to try to stop taking my escitalopram. I dropped from 10 mg to 5 mg.
It did not go well.
On December 25th I decided to go back to my old dose. 1 week in, I can say that right now it’s hard. Lots of anxious and sad thoughts. I do feel better in the evenings though.

Last game of 2025! A very solid Metroidvania with fun platforming and an incredible soundtrack composed by Yoko Shimomura (!!!). I do feel like the controls can be a bit finicky and the money loss for getting a game over is a bit harsh.
