I mind the cold a lot less than @basilbunny.bsky.social - but it's still not my favorite. But one big perk is that it's normal to be on a work call in a sweater (my boss is pretty insistent about us being on camera) - and that means it's easy to have a onesie on underneath >.>

Last night and today have felt a little like saying goodbye to Jasper again. I gave up a few of his toys I've been holding onto - one of the blankets from his crate.
It was time...they've stopped being something that needs to be held on to.

I survived the party; I am bone tired. But I don't want to sleep. If I sleep it'll be tomorrow and I fear tomorrow is going to be a very hard day.

The problem with office social events is that they are planned by social people for social people.
Which means the folks who don't like social activities have no say and are also not the target audience - but have to pretend they are having a good time all the same.

Liminal spaces are weird and lovely. For two months I've been working hard prepping for a run of the Wizard of Oz at our local theater. It's fun show, a great part, and a special production. And now it's almost over. 2 months of prep, 8 shows in 9 days. The last three are this weekend.

Is Kit too old to Trick or Treat? Not quiiiite. Certainly not that'll he'll admit to. And even if not, there will be costume parties and all. And the adventurous, nerdy kid has a great costume idea!

Still having an awful lot of feels post con. I'm sitting in the lobby, watching the migration, seeing Patches peeking out of a lot of backpacks. It's wild, wonderful and overwhelming to see that - to know @littletroubles.bsky.social has become something so real and special to so many.
