So I found when I did this my lines were getting a little stiff, so lately I've been adapting some advice from Corey Brickley: bsky.app/profile/core...

Except I leave a bit more of the separation lines and silhouette because I am a weak baby who needs crutches.

Did something similar a couple of years ago, but with one of the Steel Ball Run covers and looked up the original image Araki used as reference too. Highly recommend taking inspiration from Araki's manga covers!

Thoughts about two musical forms of media I’ve watched this week and how both eerily mirror current events.
(Mythos illustration as a supplement to mirror my frustration, anger and heartbreak)
This week I’ve watched two different musical forms of media that are all about doing the right thing and standing up to Tyranical leaders who use propoganda to trick a large part of the population and other leaders so they fall in line, capitulate and bend a knee. Not to serve their people, but to stroke their own egos. In both stories, the responsibility doesn’t just fall on one individual’s shoulders to right the course of history. It is up to everyone to embraces what makes us unique and work together… Both stories come at a time in our country’s history (and our world’s) where it’s no longer about politics, it’s about saving lives. Both stories show the fall of the leaders who have reached a point of insanity beyond explanation or rationalization…and how the people rise up to empower each other to fight back. Both of these stories wrap up these arcs with the tyranical leaders answering for their crimes and sent away in humiliation. I pray that this is a sign. I pray that we can hear each other’s hope and change the world for Good. The musical medias I’m referencing: Hazbin Hotel (very very adult animation, do not watch if you are sensitive to adult themes) this is not for kids. I saw a post this morning somewhere about trying to draw an upturned chin from below and yeah - that's a tough one!

You need to rely a lot on shading the form rather than lines for this usually. Beards can be a nice cheat. 😋

Here's a few refs to try today if you want the challenge. ⭐

I found this 1970s Barbie for fifty cents at a flea market. Her face had been chewed on…and I just had to save her!

So I made her into a my fairy barbarian, Marrowyn!
As luck had it there was a set of Barbie clothes that someone was selling that looked like fur!
