For the first time since Sunday she is asking for food.
Ok, technically she’s what she’s asking for is chicken. But she’s wanting & eating it, so I’m counting that as a win.

We are back from the vet.
She thinks it’s gastroenteritis- due to her age, she’s having a harder time with it.
She thinks it’s worth giving her a chance to recover from it.

Ok….last night went better than I expected. Better than Sunday night.
She was sick this morning, but only once & she’s drinking & keeping it down. Which is an improvement.
She’s got a vet appt for 11am. We will see what the lay of the land is. Perhaps antibiotics will give her what she needs.

It’s been an abrupt downturn. On Saturday, she was right as rain, ruling the roost with an iron paw. I’ll see how she goes over the next day or two. She could still rally. But honestly? I think the time is near

Just found out I will be getting my Covid jabs from now on!
I don’t qualify as a carer- despite the fact I’m the sole carer for 2 disabled pensioners, one of whom is immune compromised- but it turns out I qualify in my own right due to the fact I had major heart surgery as a child

Another successful trip to the cancer hospital. Mum continues to do well in that area- 4 years cancer free.
She’s still got another 6 years of observation to go, but so far so good.
