"All we are is dust in the wind, dude."
What I have learned about snow is if you spend too much time appreciating the "untouched state of it" by the time you've accepted you should play in it, it turns into a creme brulee crust with gravel underneath. I shall not make that mistake again. #Snow in #Georgia is few and far between.

First time making bread. Quick rise instead of dry yeast like most. Not only did I not burn it, it is also edible. #bread

Fun fact: Pistol shrimp snap their claws to create bubbles that stun or kill prey, generating shockwaves that are as loud as a gunshot, and produce a flash of light with temperatures as hot as the surface of the sun. 🦐🫰💥 #naturalhabitatshorts #naturalhabitat #naturalhabitok

Now the sun has set in Georgia, and the sun's light shines only through the silhouetted trees. The blue sky on the last day of the year has turned a golden caramel color with red and cream to gray, and finally the blue and navy of the night sky.

Thurl Ravenscroft says of Mr. Grinch, "I wouldn't touch you with a 39½ foot pole," when he could have easily rounded up means 39½ feet may be near or simply the limit of the minimum length of pole he would need to touch the Grinch. Thus a 40 foot pole may be sufficient to handle grinches. #christmas

Dawn before the sunrise was beautiful. The warm copper hue of where the sun was coming up obscured by the trees gave way to darker brown, a light green, cyan into a deep indigo. Rainbow-like in transition as the darkness of the world gave way to a spectrum of color.

Planted a Japanese Maple for my mom years ago. It was half my height and the first winter I swore I thought it was going to die. Today it's this beautiful tree standing well over my head in my mom's yard. Life can surprise you in beautiful and crazy ways.
