Yesterday I told you
You could ask me anything
Tonight you wanted to know
When you'd be able to sleep again
To which I didn't have an answer

The silence after that was awkward
But not as awkward as the next morning
When the rings under your eyes had become craters
Devotional pits from where you send your prayers
To whatever god would put you out of this

Helplessness is to sit on a chair in a sterile room
To feel how there's not even despair anymore
Holding a hand that doesn't squeeze back
Following the empty gaze that looks at the ceiling
While fighting down the suffocating feelings
Like sadness and anger and how meaningless life is

Which it isn't - as it brought you to me
And love back into my life
That's why I still smile into a face devoid of any emotion
Because it's still there, that warm feeling you gave me
And it will still embrace me when you are gone

I read a post a few days ago about a trans person being rejected by their insurance due to their autism.

Explanation was that they don't experience strong dysphoria and that they think transitioning is just a means to get a better sense of self-identity.

And I know that I should just dismiss...

When I say something like "Schatz" to @runoratsu.bsky.social people think it's from the German word which roughly means "honey" in English, while I actually mean "chats" which is from the French word for cat because you mean all the cats in the world for me.
