Before Human Design, our DNA, the planets, neutrinos, and our design as imprinted in us were already there. Human Design is the system Ra created to describe our behaviors and how the interactions between our DNA, the planets, and neutrinos operate in us, making us who we are.

Typically, if you have an undefined mind and you’re always thinking, it’s because you’ve been conditioned or you could just as easily say habituated to thinking. One way to test that is to see if you can meditate on nothingness and empty your mind of thoughts. I can’t do that. I have a defined mind.

When you read about your design, it's not a matter of saying “Oh, I'm going to do this”. It's a matter of watching yourself. How do you experience that? Then you can see, “Well, maybe I'm not interacting as myself, maybe I'm interacting with what somebody told me about myself”.

Your design is not something you have to do; you're already doing everything there to a greater or lesser extent. What you want to do is shift it so you're doing it to a much greater extent. If you're unaware of this, you're not giving any consideration to what you're doing that interferes with it.

It was quite a few years after my first reading that I realized that your design IS you. Oh, you can do things to cut yourself off from it, but basically your design is you, particularly with strategy and authority, profile, and your cross. These four things you're always bringing with you.

Just pick something at random in your chart - a gate, a line, your profile, etc., and read about it. Then, go out and look at your world and try to be more aware of that part of your design. Because it's awareness that helps you let go of the mental stuff that interferes with your being more aware.

Soundboarding doesn't have much to do with the words. You know, people say, "Well, you have to hear what you say".
You don't have to hear what you say. What you have to do is experience in your body what they experience when you speak your words. There’s a difference.

According to Ra, awareness allows you to avoid resistance. But that awareness must be in the context of knowing how to operate correctly in terms of strategy and authority. When you make correct decisions, you're eliminating a lot of the resistance that causes the wear and tear that kills us.

Channels can carry quite a bit of information, while your profile, type, authority, and incarnation cross carry a lot more bandwidth because those aspects are present in everything you do. You know, your profile informs your whole being.

The 4th line wants to externalize everything inside of its process. They can be pretty adept at promotion. But the 4th line has a built-in fatigue system. You don't want to disagree with them too much. They don't bend easily - that's what the fragility is referring to. They're pretty rigid.

Nobody “KNOWS” in terms of objective truth that they have made the right decision. KNOWING is a mental state. Self-projected authority is not a mental state, and the Self Center is not even an awareness center. You trust or you don’t.

Some of us are observers, and some of us are observed. I'm here to be observed. I don't mind people looking at me. My wife is a 6/2. She's an observer. She doesn't even like to be in photographs.

Most people cannot listen to other people. They're not designed for it. But with the 13-33 Channel, you are, to the point where people you don't even know very well will tell you their secrets. That's a really useful gift, being able to listen to others and the fact that they will open up to you.

You're not here to change anything in your chart, you don't even have to try and do your chart. This is your circuit board. This is running things. What happens is that we let all this other stuff—our minds, the opinions of other people, or unpleasant experiences from the past—get in the way.

One takeaway from Human Design is that you can't help but be who you are.

It's easier to talk around people because they bring the energy in your undefined Throat. If you initiate talking, you need to honor your strategy which means waiting to talk. But, you know, there are no undefined Throat police. The whole purpose of the Throat is to share your thoughts and feelings.

I have 7 gates activated in a defined Throat. And I've had it happen where I'm sitting next to someone who just starts talking and doesn't stop. I try and listen attentively for a while. And then, you know, I feel like it's overwhelming.

The G center is my authority. I only have my Mind, my Throat, and my G center defined, that's all. Okay, so I have no motors—no energy centers. Of course, to say I have no energy is ridiculous. If that were the case, I would just, you know, disintegrate. 😊

For a Projector, literally the worst thing that can happen if you do something that you weren't invited to do—if you initiate—is that it won't work out the way you expected it to.
