250 children currently have to use this one tiny latrine at a primary school in Kipkelion. Today is World Toilet Day, which highlights the need for better sanitation across the developing world. With our partners Brighter Communities Worldwide, we've built new latrine blocks in over 70 schools.

At this primary school in Kenya, 247 children currently have to share just 3 toilets. No wonder there is always a queue! That's why we are building 8 new latrine blocks at schools in Kenya this year, thanks to funding from Guernsey Overseas Aid and other donors

It's International day of Zero Tolerance of FGM - together with our partners Brighter Communities Worldwide, we have protected over 7,000 girls from the risk of this horrible custom in the last 10 years...

Many thanks to all who supported our recent match funding campaign, which raised money to protect 1000 girls in Kericho County from the risk of FGM! The girls will instead have an Alternative Rite of Passage.

Kericho County, where we work, has a population of 1 million of whom 30% live below Kenya's National Poverty Line. Half the population do not have access to clean water and one child in 20 dies before reaching the age of five.

We are a UK registered charity, established in 2011, run by volunteers, and we have hardly any overheads. 98% of donations are spent on our projects in Kenya.

We set our priorities by listening to the people of Kericho County - they tell us that they want access to clean water and sanitation, access to basic healthcare and education - so we focus on those things
