The first 2 were referenced from photos I took on a recent Japan trip, and it feels weirdly cyclical doing studies based on photos I took myself. I'd definitely like to continue doing it though!

One day I was suddenly overcome by the urge to draw a knight and this is the result. I used a new rendering style, new techniques and spent time creating a story behind the illustration that helped to inform decisions. It was a very tough challenge but I'm happy with the result!
