Neil Morrrissey spent 7 years in care as a child.

One special teacher believed in his acting dreams.

Jim Bowen, comedian and presenter, began life in an orphanage. He was then adopted.

His warmth and humour still radiates joy.

Dream big for #CareExperienced children.

As noted elsewhere in this thread, Isaac from Crystal Clean Windows York Limited came over and cleaned the restaurants windows for free and helped remove the graffiti.

That's patriotism! Trying to make your community better. Reaching out and helping others.

I go. I try. And I will keep trying, even though it feels like a losing battle. Because I remember the whole point of the far-right astroturfing of social media is to make it feel like a losing battle, to make us give up.

Anyway, a few snippets on small boat crossings and immigration.

Ah lovely. Another bag of rubbish gets tipped into the House of Lords. The place must absolutely reek of stale Tory failure, corruption and abuse of power.
Honours handed out like sweeties to some of the most undeserving, underachieving, overpromoted clowns and liars to have ever held public office.

📢 1.90 is rolling out now (3/11)

Every post now has the ability to “detach” quote posts.

Quote posts are great but sometimes they’re used to dunk on people. This tool gives you a quick way to remove your post from the quote, reducing the unwanted attention that a quote might bring.

Ofsted: this week my friend (a Headteacher) was driven, in a vintage open top car, round his school village, judging a scarecrow competition.

Whilst I am doing home visits to battered, empty flats looking for kids who may have caught malaria while in Africa.

Same framework.

Context is everything.

Exceptionally wise words from Hamid (and JRR)
Our schools must play a vital healing role after the riots
We and our pupils have witnessed horrific scenes - but we can't allow fatalism to define our response
