You may have noticed that I've been making a lot of butterflies lately. Well, here are some more! I made several of these little butterflies, which I am fairly sure I posted earlier. They are a combination of research from other patterns and my own ideas. I don't even know what the stitch is called that I used. It's like a treble crochet but instead of warpping the yarn around the hook twice first, I wrapped it 3, 4 or 5 times (depending where I was in the pattern).

Just to keep going with the butterfly theme, I made this one as well. I have been searching for the pattern I used but cannot find it. I'm pretty sure it was one of those image/diagram patterns. While I like the butterfly, the wings were floppy and I had to pin them to the board just to stay up. I ended up only making the one.

It was mentioned to me that someone was afraid their keys would destroy one of my tote bags so I decided to make this small pouch to put the keys in so they would not snag on the bag. I just made it up freehand as I went along, a mixture of double and single crochet to make the line patterns and then decreasing at the top so the keys wouldn't just fall out. I added an edging and a heart to the front.

Once all the hoops had their butterflies in them, I arranged them how I wanted them to be displayed. I used crochet chain stitches to hang them to a wooden rod and then made some crochet leaves to attach to them. I am quite happy with how this project turned out! It's now hanging in my kindy room.

This was the largest of the hoops and I was pretty curious to use a larger range of colours to blend them into each other. I used a free pattern (linked below) and was pretty happy with how it turned out. Stay tuned for the final part of the project! Link to free pattern

This is the start of a project I was making for my kindy room as we decided to butterfly theme the room. I had some embroidery hoops donated to me for the project and researched several patterns until I came up with something I liked. This one used the same butterfly pattern I have used previously in this blog, but changed the colours. It is the smallest of the three hoops. Stay tuned for more project updates!

I usually make these scrunchies with four rows but I wanted to see how I'd go with rainbow colours. I had to change the stitch so it went too big, since I wanted seven rows. It still ended up pretty big but I'm happy with it.

These scrunchies have been pretty easy to make and are great gifts for people. This one was made for a friend. She picked the colours and I managed to make it while she was over at my house.

Making these bags as gifts seems to be becoming a habit of mine. But I had some yarn left over from a previous project that I wanted to use for this one, but not quite enough! You will see in the below photo how far I got and then.... I frogged quite a lot of it to make a pattern in the middle with a different colour once I realised I did not have enough of the pink.

My mum recently bought two rabbits that have been the light of her life so when mother's day came around I decided to make her a crochet bunny to go with them! Pattern Link

After I gave a tote bag to one of my friends when she was leaving work, another friend commented about making her a nappy bag for when she had her baby. This seemed like a bit too much of a challenge at the time, but I considered it and eventually gave it a go. I used the same basic pattern to get the back started but did not add the square shapes in the sides since I was planning on adding pockets.

As usual, when I start and I find enjoyment, I have to keep going and trying new things. I have made a bunch of different scrunchies now. These ones used the same pattern as the first one except for the edging. Round 1: Double crochets around the hair tie. Round 2: Three double crochets in each stitch. Round 3: One double crochet in each stitch.
