As a Massachusetts public higher ed graduate, I know how impactful the BRIGHT Act will be toward the infrastructure of our institutions. This is our opportunity to modernize higher education, create tens of thousands of jobs, and strengthen our state’s economy for decades to come.

Maura and I are laser-focused on affordability, which is why we proposed eliminating certain charges on ratepayers’ bills, bringing more energy into Massachusetts, and holding utilities accountable and providing greater transparency.

Kicked off Urban Agriculture Week at the Mack Park Community Farm w/Mayor Pangallo, MDAR Commissioner Ashley Randle & farm leaders Pat, Matt & Kerry! This former ball field was repurposed into a volunteer-led community farm helping to produce 30K+ pounds of locally grown produce for Salem residents.

My mom was born in Grenada and then lived in Trinidad, so of course the annual Caribbean breakfast at the State House feels like a piece of home. Great to catch up with Rep Chris Worrell, City Councilor @brianworrell.bsky.social and many others!

This week, I testified in support of our administration’s Mass Ready Act which is about making sure we’re not waiting on the next disaster to come up with solutions, but instead really thinking about how we can stay two steps ahead of what’s impacting so many of the places we love.
