Yesterday, somebody told me they had watched Into the Void and loved it. From their description, I thought they were talking about The Void, and a strange conversation ensued. They actually meant Enter the Void. Turns out we were on the same page with that one.

My thoughts on James Gunn's Superman: it prizes (convoluted) plot over characterisation and jokes (that don't land/feel outdated/self-conscious in an eye rolly way) over everything, so much so it felt like a spoof. Superman needs sincerity... 1/4
