Day 1-Safely made it to Barcelona. We are jetlagged as all get out but still managed a HoHo Bus tour, ate at an outside restaurant and had Tapas dishes, Sangria and Estrella beer, walked down the whole Las Rambla street. Our hotel has an amazing view from the top floor in the atrium area.

Last week, my husband and I scored tickets to the Ft. Wayne Philharmonic Chamber Concert. It was wonderful. The Chamber group finished with Schubert's Quintet in C Major. Fantastic! #WeNeedTheArts #fwphil #classicalmusic

I'm a little late posting this, but last week my Uke fam gathered for our monthly meeting and it never disappoints. Some days I just feel unmotivated and even if I'm feeling like not going, I make myself go and I'm always so glad I did. It is music for the soul. #ukefam #ukulele

We have had so many ups and a few downs, too, but I'm so glad we can do all of this together. You have been the one who comforts me and encourages me, makes me laugh and laughs with me and we both have shed some tears together, as well. I love you, Matthew Converse- Happy 24th Anniversary!

It's going to be a long road and a very hard fight ahead. This country is in shambles. Many people I know will be hurt by the cowards that chose cruelty. The results from yesterday's vote will be devastating. But, just for a moment, I will go to my happy place to energize for the upcoming fight.

One special table on our terrace at the Joliet House, was a favorite of the late actress Mary Tyler Moore. The terrace, with its interior views of the IDS Center's Crystal Court, was prominently featured in the opening credits of the "Mary Tyler Moore Show" in the 1970s.

The Mary Tyler Moore statue in Minneapolis is a monument to the TV show's iconic ending sequence. The statue was built in 2002 near where the scene was filmed. The statue is also inscribed with the words "Who can turn the world on with her smile?" from the show's theme song.

Day 2...If you're ever in Minneapolis, check out The News Room restaurant. Service was wonderful and the food was top notch. I had the Almond Chicken Salad and Root Beer cookies for dessert. Every bite was delicious.
