So you wanna make a MELODINE oc. "Like me, Happy Buster! TRADEMARK." It's simple! Choose a genre! (Punk) -> Choose an adjective from that genre! (you can choose more than one but start with one) -> Now think of powers based on those! -> WAOW!!! MELODINE BOT TRAITS! Regardless of your design, try to use these kind of similar design motifs! They're not strict criteria, but it keeps things semi-consistent in a fun way. The diagram shows off HB's emblems which are all over their body, the big forearms, the core at the center of her chest, and the ears which are meant to evoke headphones. Q: Well, what if someone else uses the same genre? A: Two people hardly have the same interpretations of the same genre. Lean into that Q: What kind of aesthetic do they have? A: Cartoony scifi. Think FLCL. Q: Isn't this magic? A: Yeah, probably. A tiny HB in the corner says "Now go nuts, you fucking animals".

QRT to Reintroduce Yourself!

Haldo! I'm Kiaryn Ledgem. I draw just about anything and have waves of hyperfixation between drawing comics. I make OCs a lot and occasionally draw fanart.

Upcoming comics involve a lady trying to rule hell, a mage becoming mechsploited and more silkswoon. Stay tuned!
Lancer mech based on The Gorgon. It is a white hunched over mecha with yellow/orange "exposed bones" looking parts on its limbs, of which it has 2 legs and 4 arms. Two of its arms have guns melded into them in an surreal organic way despite it being a machine. From its flower-like head, glitching textures can be seen that form into the the shapes of nightmares. Or a boat. If you see a boat, you're safe. A comic page. 3 panels panel 1: a giant machine man is in a pre-launch motion about to jump while grasping a woman in one of his hands with a yoink sound effect. panel 2: The man is superman posed flying upwards leaving clouds and red motion lines while the sound effect oooooooom is visible. panel 3: zoomed out real far of the robot man flying upwards, with a silhouette of a mountain on the side to show scale. There is a dragon in the silhouete faintly noticable, with the sign of Majesty above its head. There are footfalls. Pounding, thunderous crashes of unseen limbs as two pinpricks emerge from the dark. Horns bigger than men, and skulls jangling like jewelry as the Collector approaches. She towers, neck long, grafted between other necks stolen from those lesser. Her pitch-black cloak is impossible to parse. If you were to touch it, it would be coarse, like bear's fur. When her cloak opens, she outstretches her arms. They are countless. The stretched skin of faces upon each knuckle, a patchwork of flesh upon each one. Their mouths open and close, gasping for a breath that will never come. She notices the horror of the one beholding her. When she laughs it is a rumbling sound that shakes the ribs of all who can hear it. They will join the cloak. Thus is the embodiment of the bloody past, the decisions that led us all to this present. The First of Kings. The Body of War. Speaker of Woes. Judge of Hells that Were.

Anyone ever experienced that anime thing where someone has an aura but it gives off pressure to people around them?

I had it happen to me once with an actual real life shaman who was a guest speaker for a class once. idk how to explain it. Anyone else have this happen?

A design sheet for Happy Buster's Vespx GTS. "Melodine" refers to both the technology that fuels interstellar travel and the robots that are powered by the very same thing. It is, essentially, music as power. As it became obvious that Melodine robots were, in fact, people with agency, a number of engineers quickly got to work designing vehicles and tools for them to use. The VSPX Grand Tour Stellar (VESPX GTS) is a vehicle made exclusively for Melodines. While equipped with a standard hoverdrive, the VESPX is capable of rapid FTL transit. All you need is some fuel and a Melodine driver to plug themselves in.
