Gotta love how Facebook's all "I'm going to only show you the Most Relevant™ comments!" then it shows you every comment which is just someone you don't know tagging their friend you also don't know and hides every comment which contains actual text content a real person wrote.

So when Blizz inevitably comes out with Hardcore WotLK Classic, will rolling a DK just make you immediately fail as soon as you log in for the first time? After all, your character died.

Weird af that when Americans couldn't find Wally they gifted him half of Cluedo as if a longer name would make him easier to see.

In the last 12 hours my Twitter feed seems to have decided it's now an "indie game devs I've never seen before posting about their WIP" feed. I wish there was a way to make it stay like this (or at least 80-90% like this) forever, because I love it.

Succession is an in-development strategy game drawing inspiration from XCOM, World of Warcraft, and Rolemaster.

The problem with any Avatar sequel series is always going to be that, by definition, many of our favourite characters aren't in it... so even in a best-case scenario it's bittersweet because of missing the gaang.

Me at home: "I couldn't possibly take the clean laundry out of the laundry basket and put it away, then where would the neighbour's cat sleep?"

It is Sunday, and for me that means two things:
1: Visiting open homes.
2:

Good software QA is so important. So, so important. I wish like crazy my company would hire people with brains to do it, instead of complete incompetents with no capacity for curiosity or critical thinking; it would save so much time and make us look much better in UAT.

Felt this Mage: The Awakening character concept deserved to be seen here as well.

If the witch was Hansel and Gretel's secret birth mother, would that make her house an oedible complex?

I don't really understand why so many people are flipping out over an Oblivion remake. I mean, yes, it's very pretty... but it's still Oblivion, isn't it? That RPG where the entire world gets stronger at you because you improved your lock picking?

Now just to be clear... this is, in fact, the official White House Twitter account saying the quiet part out very loud.

Well, quacking it anyway.

(Replaying Duke Nukem 3D) They just don't make 'em like this any more.

...which is really kind of a mixed bag.

I really am very grateful to the people I follow who work in game dev for being so open about the state of the industry.

It's always been my dream (and still is) to make a living by making games, but working in that nightmare would have destroyed me by now.

You guys saved me from that. Thank you.

Guess I'm not on Twitter any more because it force-logged me out and now won't recognise my username.

Broken-ass garbage website.

This.

LLMs just give you something that has the form of a statistically plausible response to your input. They work on resemblance, not content. That's why they hallucinate. If you ask for an address, they won't (can't) look it up; they'll just give you output that looks like a plausible address.
There was a tool that allows access to an advanced education to self-learn anywhere, anytime. It was called the Internet.

AI LLMs have been slowly destroying it, by regurgitating the information on the internet without any capacity to evaluate truthfulness or things like humor or sarcasm.
I have to admit that I've been surprised at the level of hate at AI LLMs.

There is finally a tool that allows those without access to an advanced education to self learn, anywhere , anytime. To get answers to questions, (even if sometimes wrong) , that they would otherwise never have access to

Haven't played a lot of @civgame.bsky.social yet, but imo people are being unreasonably harsh on it.

Every Civ has been a bit rocky at launch, but the ideas in 7 are SPECTACULAR. The ages, civs, crises, city layout, diplomacy, independent powers...

Design wise it rates the same as this good boi

So many mobile game ads are "look how easy our game is! A drunk monkey could beat this game! But the monkey's standards are too high so the inputs you see here were generated by a brain-damaged goldfish headbutting its tank."

I've never figured out how they think that shit's going to make me play.
