Outside of that problematic "I had no real friends" line Finnick was treated about as well as almost the entire returning supporting cast sans Bogo, Clawhauser, Mr. Big, Fru Fru, and Gazelle; he had about as much screen time as they did

I forget did we even see more than a quick shot of the crowd in the graduation? How would we know if he was there or not? What I felt was a bigger omission was that he was in NEITHER end concert scene not even just standing there.

I completely agree. Then his VA died which didn't help so really he's now just been reduced to pretending to be a baby and showing off his deep voice (using reused dialogue).

If it makes you feel better Finnick does go to Nick and Judy's party at the end (the one where Gary reunites with his family at Gary's family's house) so it's clear they haven't ceased all contact with him

Also yeah I think he and Nick are friends Nick was just exaggerating when he said he had no "real friends" because he feels like Judy is the only one he's developed any bond with outside of "What can you do to help me?"

Guess he's a confirmed baby fur given he's dressed like a baby and sitting in a stroller at an event where he needs to do neither (that or there's a lot of cops there so he's trying to evade them by blending in with the kids)

Yeah that line of how Nick had "no real friends" that wrote off Finnick soured my mood as well
Of course good news is apparently Finnick does actually quickly appear at the end when Gary hugs his family; we'll have to wait until it hits streaming to see if that's the case

I talked to someone about that line and he said that it doesn't necessarily mean Nick and Finnick weren't friends just that they didn't have the closeness he had with Judy

Of course back in 2016 everyone loved Finnick and for a bit when he appeared in the teaser it seemed like people were excited to see him back but...yeah it didn't mean much...
