The new Kenilworth Revealed app will take visitors right back to 1500 to experience the stories and lives that shaped so much local history. You will be able to visit the current Gatehouse and Guest Hall ruins and use the app at each plaque to see what daily life looked and sounded like, whilst answering quizzes and collecting “Relics” to become the masters of the Abbey.

The next meeting of KHAS will be on Monday, 10th November at our usual time of 7:45pm at the Kenilworth Senior Citizens Centre, Abbey End car park. Our speaker will be Peter Walters who will be talking about “the Gunpowder Plot and Coventry”, a suitable subject for this time of year. The Gunpowder Plotters Peter Walters was a Feature Writer with the Coventry Telegraph for many years and has written three books on Coventry's history, the most recent, will be out in paperback next year.

As part of Heritage Open Days 2025, Jan Cooper will conduct two tours of the Abbey Ruins on the 20th and 21st which will start at 3:00pm, bookings taken from 2:30 in the Abbey Museum, on a first-come basis.  Remember to let friends and family know that the museum is open on Sunday afternoons and bank holidays from 2:30 pm – 4:30 pm. The following photos of the Siege of Kenilworth 1266 commemorations in 2016 were provided to KHAS by Neville Prosser, a photographer who lives in Australia but who has family who lived and worked in the Kenilworth area. In 2016, he spent two days photographing the 750th anniversary of the Siege of Kenilworth. We'd like to thank Neville for so generously providing these images for us all to enjoy.
