Hideaki Anno has contributed a new lantern to this year's Bonbori Festival, revealing the title of Anno's new franchise based on Space Battleship Yamato.
The first film in the newly-titled Cosmo Ship Yamato series is in production as of this year, and will be releasing soon.

The outer case is illustrated by Take. The front cover of the package itself is drawn by Kim Se-Jun, and the back cover is by Fumie Kobori.
Volume 2 will be available next month on the 25th in Japan.

Got my copy of GKids' new American pressing of Evangelion:2.22 You Can (Not) Advance a week earlier than expected, so here's a little look at what it's like.

Got my copy of GKids' new American pressing of Evangelion:2.22 You Can (Not) Advance a week earlier than expected, so here's a little look at what it's like.
I have a bit to say in terms of pros and cons, but up front, I consider this a (flawed) upgrade from the previous Funimation release.

Update: I managed to get my copy of the new version of 2.22 a little early! I'll discuss the differences between the new version and the original Japanese blu-ray when I have the time to check it out.
Pre-orders are up for GKids' blu-ray release of Evangelion 1.11 and 2.22, and these appear to be replicas of the original Japanese blu-rays as far as cover art and extras goes (though I imagine the Fly Me To The Moon trailers might not show up, and it wouldn't be their fault if that's the case.)
