Got to see the Yeah Yeah Yeahs in Manchester last night with a friend. Such a good night, I miss when the people in my life and I were all the same city. <3

Saw Thunderbolts today, quite enjoyed it, it had a guy in a chicken suit on meth in it. Giving it a solid 5/7.

“Thou shalt not make a machine in the likeness of a human mind.”
Frank Herbert. This is what the Butlerian Jihad in Dune was about. Thousands of years prior to the Dune timeline ( the book, not the recent movies, which were bad). BTW, the series has a lot of books.

We are so honored to have our work featured in the “Abracadabra” Lady Gaga music video!

Bringing this Olivier Theyskens design to life was quite a task! Many thanks to Peri Rosenzweig with Hardstyle for the opportunity. We are so thrilled!

This might be our favorite celebrity commission to date.

There was an article during MeToo about how powerful men are seen as intellectual giants who can run economies while not being smart enough to know what sexual assault is.
Now we see a similar dynamic, where Musk is a genius who can co-run the US while being too stupid to know what a Nazi salute is.

Was tidying up a bit at lunch and realised I had both an old 80s cover art edition of Dune and a 90s/00s version. Funny how the styles for book covers change. (FYI, I don’t recommend the Brian Herbert + Kevin J Anderson books. Although, saying that, ChapterHouse is pretty batshit too.)

Watching Fallout on Prime and at the end the episodes there’s an utterly needless trailer for the next episode that spoils it for you. Regardless of whether you’re familiar with the games or not, a shite idea.

7 posts in 7 days. Just finished re-reading Leviathan Wakes. Had somehow forgotten the book’s plot and it’s refreshing to realise they actually fleshed everything out -more- in the TV adaptation. I fucking love The Expanse and (most of) the people who brought it to life. <3 Book two ahoy.

Little spontaneous adventure tonight resulting in not helping someone collect furniture and ending up eating chicken nuggets by the river. Also attempted to photograph the stars with a smart phone.

Took inspiration from a mate who said she’s taken to setting aside an hour or two every night to read books. I’m already halfway through book one of The Expanse as a result, going to have to put more effort into my hunt to find book six in a book shop without preordering it online. 🧐

Was discussing how problematic Isaac Asimov was as a person with a mate and he pointed out that Beast in X-Men looks an awful lot like him. Never noticed that before. 🧐

Won the EuroMillions last night, all £2.50 of it. Going to buy myself a yacht and a mansion, 1/1000th scale ones, made out of newspaper, a trash one such as The Sun, obviously can’t afford that fancy Financial Times pink, got to save for potential repairs in the future.
