I don’t want to see men wearing toques inside. Why do I keep getting fed videos of men wearing toques inside?

I just watched Scorsese’s After Hours, which is like a screwball comedy with the pace and atmosphere of Taxi Driver.

It‘s not perfect, but I’ve never seen another movie quite like it.

A man in rural Kentucky opens his computer. A tear rolls down his cheek. "Thank you Mr. President," he says aloud. "I won't be a Panican."

He takes a bite of his $97 omelette.
The White House just sent a "Don't Panic" email. That'll do it

Bodies are terrifying. I had some symptoms of sleep apnea, so I did a sleep test.

It turns out on average I stop breathing for 20 seconds every 6 minutes as I sleep. Often my body sorts it out without waking me.

Our bodies are basically just trying not to die all the time.

It's incredible that Bad Bunny made a spectacle so good that if someone didn't like it, the only reasonable conclusion is they're racist.

Let this be inspiration for all of us that that book or album or screenplay that’s been half-done on your computer for a decade may yet see the light of day. Just keep plodding along, even if it’s going maddeningly and inexplicably slowly.

Buncha chumps in my mentions with this shit, as if knowing who the muppets are is the key to being a good host. What, you think the show is just a guy pointing and naming Muppets?? That’s fun to you?!
it would be boring because Phil Braun knows nothing about the muppets.

I think the thing that Muppet Show special gets right is it doesn’t try to be a big ordeal. There’s no big grandstanding about coming back. They just made a fun, well-executed episode. Nothing more, nothing less.

Weird not mention the slew of explicit protest songs in response to ICE: Dropkick Murphys, Billy Bragg, Zach Bryan, etc.

Low Cut Connie is releasing a protest album. Lucinda Williams did.

I take the point that she’s talking about mass market pop songs, but still, this really seems out of touch.
