That Archie Goodwin's true crime stories of Nero Wolfe's detective work never sold remotely as well (he had to keep his day job) as Rex Stout's identical novels is proof that fiction is more popular than fact.
US automakers and other industrial employers have only themselves to blame as beancounter MBAs decided poaching skilled labor from other employers was cheaper than maintaining internal training and journeyman programs to build their own skilled workforce.

Hilarious to think there are huge datacenters that a full of turned off servers with GPUs that get more obsolete every year despite doing nothing.
How could you be dumb enough to build out a facility like that without getting power contracts to run them lined up?

Despite denials, this doesn't look good for Lavrov. I don't imagine Putin's about to end the Ukraine war and just blame it on Sergey, but I could see Putin deciding he needs to negotiate an end to it before Ukraine destroys his energy infrastructure. Which SL would hate.

Ok Canadian Parliamentary scholars, is the Times wrong or am I? NYT's Austen says if the budget fails the govt automatically falls, but as I recall, Opposition has to declare it a confidence vote for that to happen, so budget could fail but not bring down the govt.

I suppose if I were a Telsa shareholder with no scruples but a some brain cells, I might vote in Elon's pay package to prevent a stock crash on Friday but start unwinding my position while the stock is still at the crazy mulliple.

What ought to scare Tesla shareholders about the Elon package targets, besides the right of the docile board to decide to ignore meeting those goals, is that theyre based on raw numbers of robots, FSD packages etc without regard to whether Tesla is making any money.

The problem isn't that anyone paying attention doesn't know he has dementia.
The problem is getting the MSM, especially big media entities terrified of losing regulatory licenses, to report on it as an urgent news crisis, not just a commentator's observation.

Pretty despicable of Musk to loot a fund intended to pay Tesla employees just to fill out his trillion dollar package.

Tesla stock used to help employees. Now it can’t, because Elon took it all.
Among the vote on Elon's $1trillion stock award, less attention has been paid to how he drained Tesla's employee share pool for himself alone.

F1 caving to Pirelli in forcing teams to use (and buy) more tyres.
Since they have the monopoly on F1 use, I'm surprised Pirelli doesnt just adjust all the compounds so no tires will last long enough for 2 stop strategy.
How about a 4 stop?
