I said this several years ago and feel it even more deeply now after fighting various other battles and becoming a dad.

This tax season, your dollars are doing the most 💸 Not for childcare. Not for healthcare. Not for the safety net or your retirement. They’re using your dollars to build undemocratic systems that track dissent, give bonuses to kidnappers, and throw immigrants into inhumane warehouses.

Landlords adore AI. After all, the math is simple:

Black-box tenant scores + unexplained rejections + higher rents = more money in their pockets.

Whether they box you out or box you in, they can always send you packing.

Authoritarians love AI.
AI’s usefulness as a tool of authoritarianism couldn’t be clearer: ICE is using AI to abduct people off the streets, out of their homes, and at schools, and to retaliate against anyone who stands up to them.

Another song preview from The Good Fight album dropping 1/27. Dance Away is produced by Kid Maestro.

It’s super personal for me. It’s an homage to and reconstruction of the lives of two people dear to me who lived through and died as a result of the AIDS epidemic: my uncle Rick + mentor Joe.

Rounding out our recap and look forward is Andrea Reyes, our senior organizing strategist, who previews a small part of what we have in store for 2026!
As we celebrate one year, we’re also looking ahead.
The challenges before us are real and urgent, but so are the opportunities. Our next chapter is about scaling our impact, deepening our partnerships, and pushing for lasting change. But we can’t do it alone. We need your story — & your commitment.

Here's @clarenceokoh.bsky.social , our senior attorney, talking about the real-life harms that AI causes low-income people and the need for people-led action that prevents, mitigates, and repairs the damage done.
We’ve seen the harms that happen when powerful people use AI to decide how low-income people live, learn, work, and survive. We need more than simple guardrails around AI; we need meaningful ways to reduce, disrupt, and repair the harms people suffer. That’s what our legislative agenda stands for.
