Scary night: when I got home, my landlord called me into his apartment where his mother-in-law had collapsed and fallen out of her wheelchair. They asked me if I could do CPR, but she didn’t need it. She DID need me to hoist her off the floor and back into her chair as we waited for the paramedics.

Had trouble falling asleep last night due to my increasingly aging body and the attendant aches and twinges, but then the sweet release of sleep. Eight hours! Now up with coffee and readying my day for podcasts and Stranger Things. Huzzah!

The last bit of furniture for Phase 2 of the Sea Stories Lounge. Phase 3 will include a matching rattan chair and ottoman, plus a side table. Have to wait on those due to post-Christmas funds, but loving my progress.

@tombreihan.bsky.social, I’ve been thinking about your “Willow” article (which I really liked). Your thought about folklore and evermore not really being separate eras reminded me that the Beatles released Help!, Rubber Soul, and Revolver in 6 months intervals, and I’d consider those distinct eras.
