Earlier Putin himself had called the call “frank & substantive” but also insisted on getting to the “root causes” of the conflict which doesn’t indicate willingness for any substantial concessions. Also still not accepting the unconditional ceasefire put forward by Trump.
Trump calls convo w/ Putin “excellent” and says 🇷🇺 🇺🇦 ceasefire negotiations will be begin immediately. Adds he updated Zelenskyy as well as leaders of 🇪🇺 🇫🇷 🇮🇹 🇩🇪 🇫🇮 right after the call. Looks like Putin has once again bought himself more time.
