Love everything and anything resuscitation. I have two dogs named Toby Taco and Charlie Chalupa. They too love resuscitation

Mediocre EM pharmacist, better than average google-er

Posts are my own opinion and do not reflect those of my employer.
AMEN - And guess what? If this is actually rapid a flutter which may be hard to see with a HR of 180-200, win-win. No point in giving one or two doses of adenosine to slow it down enough only to realize it’s not AVNRT and end up giving dilt anyway.

Hey that rhymes! ECG truly IS the key!
point-of-care electrolyte analyzers cannot detect hemolysis!

so point-of-care hyperkalemia may or may not be real.

in this case, the hyperkalemia was wholly artifactual.

think twice before unleashing therapy for hyperkalemia (the ECG is often the key)

I’ll start with my most popular post ever, it had like maybe 2 “likes” and “reposts?” I’ll take it!

Had a paramedic say “millie per killie” for mg/kg and I refuse to say anything else from now on.
