Latest cover commission. If you recognize the characters, you're deep into comic book lore! The insides are by the talented team of John Holland, writer, Larry Guidry, artist, and Damian Felitte, colorist. I'll repost when it goes live on Kickstarter sometime next year--!

Newest commission. The character in the peacoat is the patron's own creation. He's traveling in a twisted version of Oz! (The character, not the patron. As far as I know--)

Sometimes I get oddball commissions. I recently drew a fake WONDER WONDER 80 PAGE GIANT. (See comments.) At the bottom was a space filler of "Wonder Girl Trips Over a Dog." She was mostly unseen. I then received a new request to fully draw that scene! Ha ha! You guys keep me on my toes. So to speak.

Omigosh! I dropped the ball! I drew this cover for a Kickstarter campaign. I had planned on sharing it when the book went live. It now only has A WEEK LEFT! I also contributed the pencils and inks to a two-page story. Please see comments and check it out!! www.kickstarter.com/projects/fin...

Had the urge to draw a parody for Halloween. Available here-- tee.pub/lic/AngelRobot

I'm a big Ramona Fradon fan. She drew some of the comics I cut my teeth on in the 60's. I recently stumbled across a Spider-Man sketch by her, a rarity I believe. Sadly, there's no date on it. She continued to draw well up into her 90's! I humbly inked and colored it for fun--

Just added a new design to my TeePublic page. I'm fairly certain I've seen "Halloweenie" used with Dachshund designs, but not so much with hot dogs. I'm sure they're out there, but having him rising from a bun, like a coffin, hit me as funny. tee.pub/lic/AngelRobot

TeePublic shirts are on sale until SUnday, 9/21! You should pick up a couple of items from my store. I need money to buy Halloween candy. If there's any money left over, I'll also get candy for trick-or-treaters. tee.pub/lic/AngelRobot

This was a fun commission. The person requesting wanted an imaginary “80 Page Giant” of Wonder Woman doing only mundane things. Haha! Honestly, it makes me laugh.

I ran across a Jack Kirby Superman sketch online today. It looked like it would be fun to ink and give it a vintage color treatment. It was!

Even before DC and Marvel mixed their characters with ”Amalgam" comics in the late 90's, I thought Matt Murdock would make a great Batman. As Daredevil, Matt has a Radar Sense, perfect for a bat character. Or, if the two combined (like Amalgam comics) he could be BATDEVIL!

Don't you need a Halloween shirt designed by me? TeePublic has a sale that lasts all weekend! $16 tees, plus other things-- tee.pub/lic/AngelRobot

Now that Disney's "The Skeleton Dance" is in public domain, I wanted a shirt of it. So, I designed one! Available on TeePublic, in any color you want. It's on sale for the next two days. tee.pub/lic/AngelRobot

Just finished drawing on a blank cover as a commission. I've never tried using markers and colored pencils before, so I gave it a whirl. It's based on Amazing Spider-Man Annual #21.

Just finished a drawing on a blank Wonder Woman cover, with ink and colored pencils. I'll have it for sale at the Elite Comics SUMMER JAM in Overland Park, Kansas this Saturday.

I recently visited the Nelson-Atkins Art Museum in Kansas City. This Egyptian piece has the wrong hand on each arm! I don’t know if it’s a mistake or if it has meaning behind it. I'd feel more connected to the ancient artist if he merely made a silly mistake.

Just finished a commission of an indy character. He's yet to exist in printed form, so I won't spoil his name here. Shared with permission.

I typically don’t take strip suggestions from people, but I found this commission request to be pretty funny. Plus, As a kid I LOVED when Spider-Man and The Human Torch teamed up as good-natured rivals. Maybe we'll eventually get some of this in the MCU!

On my latest commission, the patron wanted Daredevil in Josie's Bar. He asked for it to be inspired by the classic Frank Miller comics. I made up a new situation, but I tried my best to walk a line between MIller's style and my own!

Here’s a gag that MAD rejected and I completed for the 13th Dimension site. Just for fun! (Btw, please don’t criticize Mad’s decision. I consider them friends. There’s a lot of thought that goes into every issue. It’s a tough job!)

Latest commission finished. Six, little sketch cards!
June 20, 2025 at 8:14 PM
I took a commission to draw 6 different characters on 2.5 x 3.5 sketch cards. Typically, on something that small, artists draw only a headshot or a bust, and sometimes a full figure. I have only myself to blame for how I decided to draw Antman.

Here's the promotional poster for FREESTATE COMICON in Lawrence, KS on Sept. 6. I was asked to create my version of 1948's Startling Comics #49. The old man is John Brown, a Kansas abolitionist from the 1800's. He's the official "mascot" of the con. If you're around, stop by and say hi--!

I'm petting my cat as he's draped across my lap. It's very pleasant. For future reference, I wonder if there's any taxidermists who use bean bags.

Added a new item on ebay late last night, original b&w art on Bristol board and a color print. The image is based on TIGRA's "origin panel" from Marvel Chillers #3. ebay.us/m/cX5Yj8
