Finally got around to The Lowdown, a show that's pret-ty pleased w itself. Gotta say it was odd to make Joe Brainard a plot point but use his least-typical piece of art (if it even was?), but then have a C Comics cover in a later background. I guess I'm not cool enuf to "dig" it.

It is with great sadness we share the news that Terry's husband Francis died on Monday. Francis was an esteemed jazz critic and writer. They were together for nearly 50 years.
Francis Davis, a figurehead of jazz criticism, has died
His wife, Fresh Air host Terry Gross, said the longtime contributor to The Village Voice and NPR had been living with emphysema and Parkinson's disease.
