I just saw an uninspired McDonald's ad with John Cena, and the amount of positive feedback it got killed my remaining faith for the future. People love capitalism, cops, and corporate food chains. They love child labor and convenient fast fashion. We own nothing and are happy about it.

I finally started reading Wage Labour and Capital, and now I see labour-power in terms of supply vs demand just like any other commodity to be sold. Problem is homeless people exist, so there's always a seller of labour-power with a lower price than me. Therefore, wage-labour is a buyer's market.

It's essentially a video essay on Modern Monetary Theory, and how politicians lie about the national debt only when it suits them. I indirectly push it a lot, so I thought I'd just post it and lay my cards out.

I feel like saying something provocative. I'm going to say something so extremist that both Democrats and Republicans will call me whatever label they hate. Something so disagreeable that wars have been fought to prevent its idea from spreading.

I feel like I'm moving up in the world. I went from arguing politics with people on Tiktok to arguing politics on bsky. I can't tell if there are just as many, more, or fewer bad faith takes quite yet though. I'll likely never know for sure.
