Just another guy on the internet.
I'm sometimes amazed at how small the world can be sometimes. And how big the world can be at other times.

Currently an emotional mess at this point. Decompressing and taking your mind off of things is surprisingly difficult if you are very intentional about it. All you want to do is turn your brain off, but thinking about doing so doesn't help.

Is it just me, or does the scrolling experience on @dfly.app a lot worse on Tahoe compared to Sequoia?

Sometimes I wished my favorite creators were on the Bluesky platform. It's still hard when they aren't and you have to use some other platform to find them.

I wished the 1998 GTO live-action series as well as its spinoffs (like the 2024 GTO Revival) was available with English subtitles. That's the version I grew up watching, and though not an accurate GTO experience, it has a charm all its own.

I wonder if the controversy over "window seats not being at a window" would cause passenger jets to be redesigned so that windows align with seats. I imagine that this would be a nontrivial endeavor.

@doodlebugmorg.bsky.social Now that your DT17 season 3 reactions are starting on YouTube, one thing that you may have missed is that Lena is only credited as a singular name on the series, because her surname changes each season.

I'm falling asleep in the middle of the day, but waking up extra early in the morning. Is this a good thing, or a bad thing?

Patiently awaiting @gamegenic.com to restock their clear plastic playmat tubes. Meanwhile, trying to find a plastic storage container that has the dimensions to optimally pack said tubes in a box. It's a surprisingly hard battle.

Paramount+: the streaming service that inserts ads in its ad-free tier, and doesn't keep track of what I watch properly. Plus they keep removing their back catalog to boot.

I honestly fail to see why they remain competitive in this streaming landscape. Captive audience, maybe?

@doodlebugmorg.bsky.social Any thoughts of reviewing, as an exclusive for Patreon subscribers (full disclosure: of which I am not), an episode of Chibiverse which features characters from both DuckTales 2017 and The Owl House interacting with each other? (Minor spoilers for Season 3 of DT17.)

I feel so despondent right now, trapped inside a loop desperately trying to break free. There is something that I feel is just out of my reach that can break this cycle, but I fear that reaching it might be too insurmountable.

Sometimes I feel like I'm slowly rotting away doing nothing at home. It's not good for my mental health.

It's exacerbated by my obsession with watching people on TV who probably are in a better state of mental health than myself.

Hapy Memorial Day weekend, folks. I'm in the midst of very negative times, and there are times where I wonder if, professionally, I wasted the last few years of my life.

But I can only move forwards, and make the most of the dwindling opportunities for professional growth.

Bluesky logs you out far more often than many other sites. I wonder why that is. Regardless, their 2FA is still a bit behind the times.

I wished Bluesky supported passkeys.

Just yesterday I was thinking about how, when social media platforms rolled out algorithms, everyone was like “we don’t want that.” And they were like “no no, trust us, the data says you do; it’ll be great.” Now not only are the algorithms not great, they sucked the life out of everything

Well, it looks like I need to scrounge up some funds to add a new drive to my NAS. Two of my four bays have been empty for some time, and my NAS no longer has capacity to keep backups of three computers at once.

After the Steelers selected Derrick Harmon with the 21st pick, his voice cracked on a conference call as he shared the news.

His mother was on life support at a local Detroit hospital.

Harmon was able to tell his mom he got drafted on Thursday night before she died.

So, @bsky.app , when are you planning to support passkeys or some 2FA method other than emails? Having to deal with email 2FA is clunky and cumbersome.

I don't know how people conflate "prefab" with "3D printed". When I think of "pre-fab", I think of it as playing with building blocks. 3D printed, not so much.
