Making mockups for this year's hand painted Christmas ornaments. Last year I did Muppets Christmas Carol character but this year I want it to feel like it's your first Christmas at dad's new apartment. I personally think the red and green are festive! (Mock ups made with my own painting).

After five(?!) coats of spray varnish, two isolation coats and two coats MSA I finally have a waterproof, archival, matte finish on my gouache painting.

So I got a heads up that the dahlias at the Mendocino Coast Botanical Gardens are blooming right now! I did a small series of dahlia paintings from last year's bloom. These are available, if interested. Gouache on paper mounted to board. 4x6 inches.

A luminous artichoke on the easel today. This one popped up in our front yard after we moved in. Didn’t have the heart to eat it but knew I had to paint it.
