Excited to (finally) share the last bit of work from my undergrad with @lindseyswierk.bsky.social

Color change in female water anoles isn’t associated with social interactions, but color could signal body condition!

With many postdoc grants like the NSF PRFB, Ford Fellowship, and Hanna H. Gray fellowships disappearing, I am currently looking for grants that could fund incoming postdoctoral scholars. Here is a thread of some of them 🧵

Hi everyone! I’m a 2nd year PhD student in @coxevolab.bsky.social at Florida International University. My dissertation is focusing on evolution of a dewlap color polymorphism among Panamanian slender anoles and I love all things herp! 🦎

I’m on the hunt for post docs during #SICB2025! I’d love the opportunity to bring my own expertise to and learn new skills from a lab doing research on #behavior (with a sprinkle of physiology perhaps!). Let me know if you or someone you know is looking to fill a position!

Great photos and some great research from my labmate, Noah! (even though it’s not anoles this time 😉)
Check out some of the unique herps I found while conducting field work at the beautiful Archbold Biological Station to study centipede-eating snakes. Check out my previous work on these snakes (academic.oup.com/icb/article/...) and stay tuned for our results from this trip!

Hey all! I am a 4th year PhD student at Florida International University in @coxevolab.bsky.social’s lab. My dissertation work is focused on upper thermal tolerance plasticity in the slender anole. I explore the transcriptomic and epigenomic response to a short term heat shock!

Some photos from my last field season in Panama! Fun times in the field, fish markets, and of course rain!!

Good news, after my first set of RNA samples melted due to shipping delays, we successfully sent off 2 plates of RNA for sequencing! Get ready for some cool transcriptomic data on circadian rhythms of upper thermal tolerance in slender anoles 🦎🧬
